This vineyard is known under the name château Lalibarde. Reconstituted thirty years ago with first-choice grape varieties, Merlot and Cabernet, its red wines, very full-bodied, have a great deal of finesse and make excellent old wines that keep for a very long time.
It lies entirely on the south slope of a very high hillside. Its exceptional position and its very careful cultivation, cited as a model in the Bourgeais, have earned it a well-deserved reputation.
A special cuvée, a selection of old vines aged in oak casks, was launched (1998 harvest): château Beau-Site.
