Château Haut Ferrand

Château Haut-Ferrand results from the merging of various gravelly plots located around the church of Pomerol and bought since 1970. The current owner also owns Château Ferrand; these two estates are managed by the S.C.E. du Château Ferrand.
Vinification is carried out using modern techniques, in recent premises comprising a vat room equipped with stainless steel vats and an ageing cellar. Aged 18 months in oak casks renewed by a third every year, this Merlot-dominated wine is mellow and round; its discreet bouquet with aromas of ripe fruit and game gives it the elegance and harmony of the great Pomerols.
