Château Gouprie has been a family property for 3 generations. Enriched by the know-how of their forebears, Sylvie and Patrick Moze-Berthon have kept traditional methods of cultivation and vinification: control of yield, ploughed vines, chemical weedkillers banned, hand harvesting, and ageing of all the wines in barrels, half of them renewed every year.
But human investment often goes hand in hand with financial investment. This is why in recent years Sylvie and Patrick Moze-Berthon have purchased equipment and invested in fitting out a cellar.
All this makes Château Gouprie one of the best-maintained properties. Numerous medals reward this hard work each year, as they do for the other properties of this professional duo: Rocher-Gardat in Montagne Saint-Émilion, where they will welcome you as befits an independent winegrower, and Château Vieux Chantecaille in Saint-Émilion.
