Château Fourney, acquired about 50 years ago by the Rollet family, already owners in Saint-Émilion under Louis XV, is located in the commune of Saint-Pey d’Armens for the château, the cellars and 6 hectares of vines. The rest is in the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse.
A mixture of tradition and modernity, with a concern for the quality of this wine and respect for the environment, a few principles are applied: maintaining the biological balance of the soils, controlled natural grass cover, sustainable pest control with their own weather station. In addition, disbudding, shoot thinning and leaf removal are some of the attentive care given to the vineyard. The Rollet family has its own wine effluent treatment plant, which completes its respect for the environment.
In the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, the family also owns Châteaux du Vieux Guinot, Gaillard de la Gorce and Roc Saint Michel, and in the Côtes de Castillon appellation, Châteaux Grand Tertre and la Fourquerie.
