The château Laffitte Laujac property has always been attached to Laujac (in the same commune), of which it was a tenant farm. It has belonged to the Cruse family since 1852. It was classified Cru Bourgeois in 1932, like Laujac.
Its vineyard lies in the centre of the commune of Bégadan and has two types of soil: magnificent type 4 terrace gravel and clay-limestone of very high quality. Thanks to this complementarity of terroirs, Laffitte Laujac produces very fine, lively, penetrating, flattering yet structured wines. Aged in French oak casks, its wines have good ageing potential.
The wines of château Laffitte Laujac are distributed worldwide and are particularly appreciated in Switzerland and the United States. The property is now run by Bernard Cruse and his daughter Vanessa Cruse-Duboscq.
