Château du Cartillon is located in the heart of the Médoc, halfway between the famous crus of Margaux and Saint-Julien.
The château and the buildings date from the 18th and 19th centuries respectively. Among its illustrious owners it counted Monsieur de Bethman, who was mayor of Bordeaux, as well as the Clauzel family.
Of a fine, very deep garnet colour, the wine of Château du Cartillon, brilliant and limpid, offers a fine, intense nose characterised by the finesse of its oak and its ripe fruit aromas. After a supple attack, it proves fleshy, round and fruity, well balanced, and delivers ripe, velvety tannins.
