Since the beginning of the 19th century, the Braude estate belonged to the Mondon family, and was ranked among the most representative Crus Artisans and Paysans. It was in the early 1980s that it was bought by the Bernaleau family. Its vineyard was enlarged and extended onto plots saved from the diggers and gravel extractors; being free of any vineyard since the phylloxera crisis, they were much coveted by these firms that devour our finest wine-growing terroirs.
That would have been a pity for tasters like us, for we would have been deprived of a wine with a good constitution, elegant and warm.
