The estate

In brief

Château Réal is one of the oldest properties in the commune, as the estate dates back to 1824. Today it belongs to the Lemaignan family (Tronquoy Lalande heirs), who leased it from the 2006 harvest onwards to Didier Marcelis, owner of Château Serilhan in Saint-Estèphe.
Many investments have been undertaken since the takeover: chemical analysis of the soils, replanting, complete renewal of the trellising, severe pruning and systematic phytosanitary treatments.
Since that date, the plots of Château Réal have also benefited from the same qualitative treatment as the vines of Château Serilhan: pneumatic sorting table, ultra-modern winery, … The château became a guest house in 2005, recognised by national and international guides. The estate’s wine is available for tasting and for sale on site.
