Château Coutelin-Merville

This Cru Bourgeois in the commune of Saint-Estèphe was acquired from the Lefort heirs in 1902 by the great-grandfather of the present owners. Carefully managed, it has remained in the family ever since.
It is now run by the two great-grandsons of Pierre Estager, Bernard and François, who took over from their father on his death in 1987.
Made up of a vineyard in a single block on the hill of Coutelin, the grape varieties, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, are characteristic of the Bordeaux region and particularly well suited to the terroir.
