MFR de Vayres

About

The MFR of Vayres has adapted installations for training in viticulture, oenology and sale of wines and spirits. Ideally located, on the edge of the N89, the MFR of Vayres is 10 minutes from Libourne and 20 minutes from Bordeaux. It is a welcoming building in the middle of the vineyard, the surface of the centre is 2500m² on a wooded park surrounded by vines.

There are 8 training rooms with a capacity of 25/32 people, 1 educational wine and spirits shop (educational cellar), 1 refectory for 70 people, 1 CDI (documentation and information centre), 1 dining room for 30 people, 1 boarding school with 45 beds, 2 PMR (people with reduced mobility) rooms, 1 oenology laboratory, 1 computer room with 30 workstations, 1 cyberspace with 8 workstations, a tasting room with 30 seats, a basketball court and a free car park with 100/120 spaces.

The MFR's work-study approach is based on the implementation of a work-study programme which encourages the student to combine his or her experience in a socio-professional environment with the knowledge acquired at the MFR.

The originality also lies in the place given to the educational support of the alternating students, both by the educational team and the professionals.

The MFR's pedagogy favours the sharing of experiences and reflection based on real life. This approach prepares each student to better enter active life and to integrate professionally and socially.
