The history of this estate is rooted in a tower built in the 13th century in Soussans. In 1972, Lucien Lurton acquired the tower and vineyard from the Clauzel family. As the new owner, he set about developing the wine estate while overseeing his other properties. In 1992, his daughter Marie-Laure, a graduate in oenology with six years’ experience on her father’s estates, took over the running of the estate. Her first investments were in the vineyard, including raising the trellising to increase leaf area, replanting and uprooting. The technical facilities were also modernised, with the refurbishment of a building dating back to 1934, enabling the installation of an ergonomic vat room, a barrel cellar and a tasting room. This contemporary building, elegantly designed by Toulouse architect Vincent Defos du Rau, bears witness to the estate’s dynamism and commitment to quality.
