The Foucard-Camallonga family had been operating an A.O.C Puisseguin Saint-Émilion vineyard since 1937 and several wine estates in Algeria. They acquired Château de Musset in 1963 after moving to France. The estate comprises 27.7 hectares of vines planted on clay-gravel and sandy-gravel soils. The grape varieties are traditional, with Merlot predominating. The Château de Musset wine is matured in stainless steel vats, cement vats and new barrels renewed every 3 years. S.C.E. Y. Foucard et Fils also runs Château Chêne-Vieux in the Puisseguin Saint-Émilion appellation.
