A fabulous legacy of centuries gone by, the estate’s classical architectural style was built in the 18th century and has evolved over time. Having belonged to the former mayor of Saint-Émilion, Jacques Goudineau, and then for 5 years to a foreign group, Château Tour Saint Pierre returned to French ownership in August 2022, reconnecting with its prestigious history by dedicating the estate to the wine-making excellence of Bordeaux and the terroirs of Saint-Émilion. And so begins the story of an entire team, orchestrated by David Caillaud, technical director of Château Tour Saint Pierre. Château Tour Saint Pierre is admirably situated on the north-eastern slopes of the commune of Saint-Émilion. The 11.5 hectares that make up the vineyard are spread over a clay-silica plateau with a few shades of limestone. This range of terroirs – which has made the reputation of Saint-Émilion’s Grands Crus Classés – benefits the expression of our Grand Cru. The vineyard, comprising 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, is carefully cultivated without the use of herbicides or insecticides.
